Weekly Message from the Pastor
August 23, 2026
Romans 12:2 - Do not be conformed to this world,
but be transformed by the renewing of your minds,
so that you may discern what is the will of God—
what is good and acceptable and perfect.
Wow! Could you give us something a little easier Lord? The world demands we conform. If we don’t conform, at least a little bit, then we can’t survive in this world.
God says we can not only survive but thrive in this world. We, as Christians, are called to have a different viewpoint, different outlook. We are called to focus on the things of God, what is good and perfect, not on the things of this world which corrupt and destroy.
Do not fear being different from the world. May we fear being shaped by the corruption of the world.
Let us be truly thankful, humble, and obedient to the call God has placed on all our lives. Let us make disciples and spread spiritual holiness throughout our land.
May the blessings and peace of Christ be upon each of you.

Weekly Message from the Pastor
August 30,2026
Romans 12 :21 - Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome
evil with good.
In the world we live in, the concept of good and evil is prominent for all to see. Every day, we are shocked by another example of evil, but more and more, we are not surprised.
The few snippets of good are more likely to catch us unaware.
In Paul’s Letter to the Romans, he establishes the unrefusable fact, that we are all part of the family of God. He then goes on to describe how we are to live, not only with our brothers and sisters of the faith, but with all God’s children.
It is reasonable, I think, that each of us, alone, cannot possibly overcome all the evil in the world. Paul is suggesting, we focus on the evil in our own lives, and overcome it with good.
Let us be truly thankful, humble, and obedient to the call God has placed on all our lives. Let us make disciples and spread spiritual holiness throughout our land.
